About Van Aken Landscaping

My name is Brennan Van Aken. I’m a husband, a father of two, and a business owner at heart.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, I was injured, which caused me to struggle with walking normally. When I returned home, I spent over a year jumping from job to job, searching for the right direction and a better use of my time. Eventually, I decided to build something of my own.

I’ve always loved the outdoors and transforming properties into clean, functional, and beautiful spaces. That passion led me to start Van Aken Landscaping. Since then, we’ve built long-term relationships with our customers and grown into multiple crews serving residential, commercial, and HOA properties across Greater Maine and the Maine and New Hampshire Seacoast.

Our team brings over 30 years of combined experience in residential and commercial landscaping, hardscaping, property maintenance, and seasonal services. We focus on reliability, communication, and quality work that holds up over time.


Our mission is to bring love, quality, and beauty to the communities we serve while raising the level of professionalism in the landscaping industry. Everything we do is guided by our core values.
